[Art Today] A grand report on the 20-meter-long scroll of Wu Dengyi Art Museum《Imperial Landscapes》ART TAIPEI 2021 gathers Taiwan’s artistic strength, and the first-hand gallery directs the first day of the preview The 28th Taipei International Art Fair (ART TAIPEI 2021) will be an art event for 5 consecutive days starting from October 22, 2021 at the Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1.
Wu Dengyi Art Museum presented a series of works by color and ink artist Wu Dengyi at the booth with the theme of “Beauty of the World”. The biggest highlight of which was the new work《Imperial Landscapes》exhibited for the first time. This long color and ink scroll was completed after three years. The stretches of strange mountains and rocks constitute the artist’s inner landscape, and the way of describing landscapes is contemporary. The stone-like texture of Taihu Lake creates another layer of interest in the mountains, and the fishing boats seem to be endowed with each other. Abstract meaning, while creating a dreamy lyrical landscape, it also hides the symbolic meaning of detachment from reality.
Equally impressive in size, and corresponding to the aforementioned works, is Wu Dengyi’s 2013 old work《Endless Miles》based on the scenery of the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River. Wang Xinli, Chairman of Taiwan’s Superior Industry Foreign Cooperation Committee, introduced Wu Deng-yi, a “modern ancient man”, as a rare contemporary Chinese master of color ink and ink. He will start a series of exhibition tours in mainland China and Southeast Asia next month. He specially invited the United Nations Educational Chen Chaoxing, vice chairman of the International Art Critics Association, a cultural organization, is the curator, trying to bring a new sky to the Chinese color ink.
